It was our first time there so we took the popular Raven Rock Trail, and it did not disappoint. I also picked up a park sticker and the 2022 NC Parks bandana to add to my collection! Time for a nap. 😴#lifeisgood #ravenrockstatepark @ncstateparks @ncstateparkspassport
I honored Mother Earth this Mother’s Day weekend I honored Mother Earth this Mother’s Day weekend by picking up litter on my bike ride. I usually go with my grandson(s) within walking distance to do our litter pickup but wanted to gather items I’ve seen on my rides. I’ve noticed that about 99% is from fast food places (Bojangles, Macdonald’s) or beer cans (Bud Light). 🤨 PLEASE don’t litter! Recording my work with @litterati app. #dontlitter #respecttheearth #mothersday2022

It’s holy Saturday, that time in between—after It’s holy Saturday, that time in between—after Good Friday and before Easter. Maybe it was fitting that I couldn’t sleep and finally gave up around 4:30am. It was nice to have my tea and quietly read a little from each of these books. I’ve learned so much this Lenten season but sometimes the best lessons are the simple ones. I will take this succinct little Irish prayer with me as I continue my “prayer journey” after Easter Sunday. “O Father who sought me, O Son who bought me, O Holy Spirit who taught me.”
