Approach

My goal as a wellness trainer has always been to help clients reach optimal wellness by providing the knowledge and tools needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I encourage and guide my clients to take control of their health and establish lifelong habits to build self-confidence and enjoy life to the fullest. These days, I do this primarily with my Meditation in Motion classes.

My Story

I was born and raised in Texas and most of my family still lives there (or in Oklahoma). After college, I spent a year in France then worked in tourism, taking advantage of cheap travel for a few years. I went backpacking through Europe and cruising down the Nile, among other adventures. In 1980 I moved to New York City to work at a job that required fluent French. Although I planned to stay only a few years, I ended up staying over 30! I met my husband and raised my family there.

While raising my kids, I obtained a Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition and a Certificate as a Consulting Herbalist and became certified as an ACE (American Council of Exercise) Group Fitness Instructor. Over many years, I taught group aerobics, dance exercise, and a Christian alternative to yoga.

Today, I live in North Carolina and teach private online classes that I call Meditation in Motion.  I incorporate elements of yoga, pilates, weights, and intervals (based on the client’s needs and desires). Christian meditations and mindfulness elements complete the body, mind, soul workout.

With my daughter, I also manage Finite Foodie (finitefoodie.com) and have published a cookbook available on that website.
