My goal as a wellness trainer is to help you reach optimal wellness by providing the knowledge and tools needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I encourage and guide my clients to take control of their health and establish lifelong habits to build self-confidence and enjoy life to the fullest.

My Story

I’m a native Texan, even though I haven’t lived there for decades. After college, I spent a year in France then worked in tourism, taking advantage of cheap travel for a few years. I went backpacking through Europe and cruising down the Nile, among other adventures. In 1980 I moved to New York City to work at a job that required fluent French. Although I planned to stay only a few years, I ended up staying over 30! I met my husband and raised my family there. 

In the meantime, I obtained a Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition and a Certificate as a Consulting Herbalist. I am certified as an ACE (American Council of Exercise) Group Fitness Instructor and previously taught as a certified instructor for a Christian alternative to yoga and a Christian dance exercise program. I have combined all of this experience into my own Stretch & Strengthen with Scripture classes where I incorporate elements of yoga, pilates, strength-building with weights, and intervals (based on the client’s needs and desires), with Christian scriptures and meditations.

I now live in North Carolina, where I continue to teach private online fitness classes and coach clients in healthy living. With my daughter, I also manage Finite Foodie (finitefoodie.com) and have published a cookbook available on that website.
