Sometimes it’s hard to remember that food is our friend! Should I go vegetarian, vegan, Paleo, AIP, gluten-free or FOD-MAP free? Which oil is really the best? What about butter? Or should I go back to eating lard? Fruit has too much sugar. Seafood’s full of mercury. Is anything really good for me?

With all of the conflicting data and diets out there, food seems more like a foe, not even worth the trouble. Remember the Jetsons cartoon? They would punch a few buttons and get their meal in a capsule. That’s beginning to sound like a better alternative these days! No decisions, no trips to the grocery store, no diets, no confusion.

But, that’s not how we were made. God created us and the food we need right her on earth. Food, as found in nature, will keep us healthy and operating at peak performance. Over time, we have developed creative combinations that satisfy and excite us. Eating food is social and fun. It brings back good memories It’s delicious and nourishing to our body and soul!

Eating healthy is not a burden at all but a real treat for me. However, I don’t want to spend all of my time in the kitchen. I’m always looking for quick, easy and healthy recipes to try out and use as inspiration for my own creations!

I’m always experimenting and have created my own recipes, some of which I included in my 4 seasonal detoxes. Each detox has a cookbook with 30-50 unique recipes that focus on seasonal, detox- supporting foods. The recipes are mostly very quick and simple to make. I use ingredients that are easy to find, with a few unusual items for those of you who are more adventurous. I’ve shared photos and some recipes here, but you can get all of them when you do a guided detox plan with me.

Click on these links or on the Recipes drop-down to see photos of some of my creations. Click on a photo to see if the recipe is hiding underneath. I continually add the recipes that go with the photos, as I perfect them and get them written up.

Sign up for my newsletter and you’ll receive a recipe as well as articles on food, fitness and faith. I also share recipes from time to time on my blog so please subscribe to the RSS feed as well!
