Eat and Exercise - Two of my favorite things to do!

I’ve been accused of always writing about food, and I must confess that I’m guilty (most of the time)! So today I thought I'd share a little bit about the fun things going on in my exercise classes.

One of my favorite ways to exercise, especially during a detox is with PraiseMoves®, but I also run and do some strengthening work with weights to keep my bones strong and my metabolism fired up.


A Christian alternative to yoga, PraiseMoves® combines stretching, strengthening and balancing postures with Christian meditation using Bible verses. It combines physical and mental exercise with a spiritual detox! I have to admit that my favorite PraiseMoves® series is during Advent (in December). Each week we move and hold postures while progressing through through the Christmas story, culminating at Ephiphany and the Magi. It’s always a special time to step out of the Christmas shopping lines and into the presence of God. 

Moving into the new year, I often teach themes, like: 

JANUARY: God’s Health Prescriptions

FEBRUARY: The Greatest is Love

MARCH: Lenten/Easter Meditations

APRIL: Celebrating God’s Creation

MAY: Mothers and Women
