Approach

My goal as a wellness trainer is to help you reach optimal wellness by providing the knowledge and tools needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I encourage and guide my clients to take control of their health and establish lifelong habits to build self-confidence and enjoy life to the fullest. 

This is accomplished through private nutrition, emotional and spiritual wellness, and fitness sessions. I will help you set up goals to get your life a little more organized, so you can find time and motivation for exercise and prayer, and of course, eating more healthfully.

My Story

I’m a native Texan, even though I haven’t lived there for decades. After college, I spent a year in France then worked in tourism, taking advantage of cheap travel for a few years. I went backpacking through Europe and cruising down the Nile, among other adventures. In 1980 I moved to New York City to work at a job that required fluent French. Although I planned to stay only a few years, I ended up staying over 30! I met my husband and raised my family there. 

In the meantime, I obtained a Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition and a Certificate as a Consulting Herbalist. Then I was certified as an ACE (American Council of Exercise) Group Fitness Instructor and  PraiseMoves® Instructor (Christian alternative to yoga). 

August of 2013 brought about another move to Raleigh, North Carolina, where I continue to teach fitness classes (primarily via Skype), coach clients in healthy living, and lead detoxes. With my daughter, I also manage Finite Foodie (finitefoodie.com) and have published a cookbook available on that website.
